Who You Are!

Who You Are!

Sis, it’s time to peel back the layers to reveal the powerful truth…..your God-given identity.

In a world constantly trying to tell you who you’re not, we’re going back to who God says you are. Let’s explore what the Bible says about your image, your worth, and why walking in this truth changes everything.

Because sis — the Word is facts. All facts. Nothing but facts.

Fact #1 What You Believe About Yourself Affects How You Behave

Let’s start with the truth straight from Proverbs 4:23 (AMPC):

“Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”

Now, when the Bible says “heart” here, it’s not talking about your physical organ. It’s referring to your inner being — your thoughts, your will, your emotions.

What you believe about yourself sets the tone for your actions and determines what you achieve. If your heart is full of insecurity, fear, or doubt, your behavior will reflect that. But if you’re rooted in God’s truth, your life will overflow with purpose, peace, and power.

Fact # 2 What You Believe About Yourself Affects How You Relate to Others

Jesus gave us a blueprint in Mark 12:31:

“Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Here’s the thing — you can’t give what you don’t have. Your capacity to love others starts with how you love yourself. And how you love yourself is shaped by what you believe about yourself.

Do you see yourself as worthy? Chosen? Loved? When you operate from that place, it changes the way you show up in every relationship — as a friend, mother, sister, or partner.

Fact #3 What You Believe About Yourself Affects Your Relationship with God

This is the real battleground. The enemy’s ultimate goal isn’t just to bring pain — it’s to separate you from God.

Genesis 1:27 says you were made in God’s image. But Satan wants to twist that truth, using your past, pain, and imperfections to cloud your view of God.

Let me put you on game: the enemy has a strategy, and I call it D5:

  • Doubt – Questioning God’s goodness and promises
  • Discouragement – Focusing on problems instead of God
  • Diversion – Chasing what’s not meant for you
  • Defeat – Believing you’re a failure
  • Delay – Postponing your purpose

But guess what? He miscalculated.

He forgot that God’s love sustains. The Holy Spirit leads. Our steps are ordered. Our foundation is firm.

He didn’t factor in our full coverage insurance in Psalm 23.

Sis, we’ve got the advantage. We win because we know Who we belong to.

Who You Are in Christ??

Let’s speak life. Let’s declare truth. Here’s what God says about you:

  • The apple of God’s eye – Psalm 17:8
  • Formed by God; fearfully and wonderfully made – Jeremiah 1:5 & Psalm 139:13–16
  • Loved – John 3:16
  • God’s masterpiece – Ephesians 2:10
  • Chosen, royal, and set apart – 1 Peter 2:9
  • God’s temple – 1 Corinthians 3:16
  • His child and heir – Galatians 4:7
  • Seated in heavenly places – Colossians 3:1
  • A new creation – 2 Corinthians 5:17
  • An overcomer – 1 John 4:4
  • More than a conqueror – Romans 8:37
  • Fearless – 2 Timothy 1:7
  • Redeemed and forgiven – Ephesians 1:7
  • The light of the world – Matthew 5:14
  • The fragrance of Christ – 2 Corinthians 2:14
  • Engraved in His hands – Isaiah 49:16

That’s who you are. Anything else is a straight-up lie — return to sender.

Sis, I pray this reminder sinks deep. You are loved, seen, chosen, and called.

Take a moment and reflect: Am I living like I believe what God says about me?
