Why Astrology Doesn’t Align with the Christian Life

Sis, let’s talk about it.

Zodiac signs. Horoscopes. Birth charts.

They’ve become so normalized that people casually drop, “What’s your sign?” like it’s just innocent fun. But if you’re a woman of God striving to live a life that honors Christ, we need to pause and ask a serious question:

Does astrology align with a Christian lifestyle?

The short answer: No, Sis.

Astrology is more than just personality traits or “daily insights.” At its core, it’s a form of divination—seeking wisdom, direction, or identity from the stars instead of the Creator of the stars. And the Word of God is very clear about this.

 

 

 

What the Bible Says

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 (NKJV) says:

“There shall not be found among you anyone… who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens… For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord…”

God doesn’t take this lightly. He calls it an abomination. That’s strong language—but it shows how seriously He wants to protect us from anything that pulls us away from Him.

Isaiah 47:13–14 (NKJV) warns:

“Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and save you… Behold, they shall be as stubble, the fire shall burn them…”

This was God’s response to Babylon’s dependence on astrologers. He made it plain—they offer no real help or hope. Only God holds our future.

Colossians 2:8 (NKJV) reminds us:

“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit… according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.”

Astrology may look deep, but it’s actually deceptive. It’s a counterfeit source of truth that leads many to chase identity and answers from the creation instead of the Creator.

 

 

Our Identity Comes from Christ

Sis, God didn’t call you by your zodiac sign—He called you by name.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

You are chosen, royal, and set apart (1 Peter 2:9).

You are His workmanship, created for good works (Ephesians 2:10).

The stars don’t define you. The One who made them does.

 

 

 

So What Do We Do?

If you’ve dabbled in astrology or found your identity in zodiac signs, you’re not alone—and you’re not condemned.

But now is the time to repent, let go of those things, and cling to the truth of God’s Word.

 

Final Word, Sis:

You don’t need Mercury to be in retrograde for your life to align. You just need Jesus.
